The “Road to Loretta’s” is truly underway across the country and Team EJP has begun the journey by racing the Northeast Area Qualifier in Southwick Massachusetts. The team has put in the work during the off season and brought home the results to show it.

Saturday started with very wet conditions adding to the already difficult deep sand that MX338 is known so well for. Travis lined up for the the 51cc (4-6) Shaft Dr LTD ready for battle. The track proved to be the biggest competition of the day with riders down in almost every turn. The #953 would battle through and take the his only moto win of the day. He tucked the front on lap one of the second moto and remounted in 4th. Travis came back through and would finish just behind Kingston Mason at the checkers. The 51cc (4-6) Limited would come with a little less drama as he piloted the KTM to 2-2 moto finishes for 2nd overall.

Andy Mathieu took to the course on Sunday for the Vet (30+) and Senior (40+) classes. Things started off great with Andy pulling a holeshot in the 30+, eventually getting passed by Jesse Bourque. Andy would stay close, but could not get himself back into the lead and eventually went 2-2 for 2nd overall. Mathieu would perform better in the 40+ class leading both motos wire to wire for the overall win!

The team will now search for gate drops in order to build more momentum for the eventual regional qualifiers in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
