Injury Takes Out Prescott While Team EJP Racing Collects Victories

While training at Jimmy Weinert Training Facility, Patrick Prescott suffered a major brake to his femur resulting in a life flight trip to the hospital in Greenville, NC. Surgery was done immediately to put a rod in place and get Pat back on the road to health. Shortly after surgery Prescott boarded a plane back to Maine and plans to be back on the bike by the end of 2017. In just 3 short weeks Patrick is already walking and will begin his physical therapy next week.

While the team has lost a rider for the summer, the other athletes were busy collecting podiums.

Andy Mathieu headed south to the Dominican Republic for the Motocross campeonato nacional. It was Andy’s first experience at the famous race. On a borrowed bike and in front of over 5 thousand fans he was able to lock down a 1st overall in the master A and a 5th overall in the pro class. Mathieu has packed up and is now headed for Michigan for his first Loretta Lynn’s Area Qualifier. This year he will be attempting to qualify for both the 25 and 30 plus classes.

Moving over to four wheels; Reid Lanpher has been lights out fast winning his first 3 Super Late Model events of the year! He has gone 3 for 3 at the PASS Oxford 150, Beech Ridge Motor Speedway PASS 300, and the 50-lap Super Late Model opener at Oxford Plains Speedway. Reid hopes to continue this incredible role he is on through the rest of the 2017 season!
