Team EJP Racing gets its name from the family owned business of Everett J. Prescott, Inc., a pipeline company located in Gardiner, Maine, now serving New England, New York, Indiana and Ohio. In over twenty years NASCAR involvement, Team EJP Racing has played an important role in the career development of stars like Steve Park, Kevin LePage, Ricky Craven, Andy Santerre, and Denny Hamlin. Nineteen Victory Lane celebrations since 1997, and two PRO Tour Series championships, by Steve Prescott, have also been a part of the most recent successful racing experiences of this team. EJ Prescott and Team EJP Racing have a reputation for top-notch equipment and a winning tradition.

The father/son combination of Peter and Steve Prescott continue the racing tradition through their ownership of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Team EJP Racing, 03 Chevrolet Silverado. After driving a limited schedule in the 2000 season, Steve stepped down as the driver. He remains active in running the race team and, at the track, serves as the team spotter. When he is not racing Steve is a crucial part of the family business as the President.
