What a week of racing for Team EJP! Our three athletes have competed across the map and brought home some impressive finishes.

The week started with Andy Mathieu who attended the 35th Annual Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National in Hurricane Mills, TN to compete against 40 of the world’s fastest 30+ riders. A full week 3-moto format would decide the champion in the 100+ degree Southeast humidity. Before racing even began Mother Nature opened up and dumped buckets on the already well-watered track. Unfortunately for the riders, this would be the story for much of the week.

Andy kicked things off with a strong start in moto one. While running up front with the tops guys he would make a mistake and have to settle for a 7th. Moto two would show Andy’s determination as he suffered a huge crash in the second turn and have to battle back through the pack for a 9th place moto finish. He would go on to score a 12th in moto 3 for a 9th place finish overall.

While Andy was packing up and preparing to head home, Reid Lanpher was hitting the pavement for the Pro Series at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. With a heat race win and a starting position of 9th, Reid would pilot his Team EJP Racing car to the lead and hold off the competition for his second victory of the year!

Then, to round out a week full of racing, Patrick Prescott headed to the newly redesigned Winchester Speedpark for round 3 of the NESC Fall Series. The 199 got off to a slow start having to battle though the pack in the Supermini moto 1 but, would get himself into 2nd. He would follow that up with a 2nd in moto 2 for 2nd overall. Pat’s starts would come around in the 85b class leading wire to wire in both motos for the overall win.

Now the moto team plans to head north again for 2016 TransCan Canadian Grand National Championship in Walton, ON.
