For the last race of the 2015 season, Team EJP packed up and headed south to check out “The Wicks” new layout. The legendary Southwick motocross track has undergone major changes that have attracted the National Motocross Series to return in 2016. The new changes also brought in some big competition for the final round of the New England Motocross Championship.

Patrick’s first moto of the weekend was in the Supermini class where he slipped the rear wheel off the start and would come out at the back of the pack. He moved quickly up through the competition pushing into 6th when the checkered flag flew. The track got really rough by moto 2 which slowed his lap times a bit and resulted in a 9th place moto finish and a top 10 overall.

The 85 class had large gates as well with over 20 riders lining up to compete. Patrick got his only good start of the day in moto 1 and lead most of the first lap. He would go down briefly and have to come back through the pack yet again. The first motos of the day were shortened due to the time change so by the time patrick got back into the top 3, the race was over. Again, the second moto for the 85 class was run in really rough conditions. Patrick got a really bad start, entering the first turn close to last. He would pilot the #199 machine straight through the pack and into the lead for the win! The 3-1 moto scores would only be good enough for 2nd overall.

The team now will begin preparation for the 2016 motocross season.
